Cayce is a great place to get into the spirit of the Season at Christmastime! Christmas in Cayce is filled with rich traditions that residents and visitors look forward to each year and includes the following:

Thursday, December 4 - 31st Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony
6:00 p.m. – 31st Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony
This event is sponsored by The Woman's Club of Cayce and includes greetings from city officials, holiday thoughts, musical selections, and a visit from Santa. Proceeds from the sale of lights are used to fund community projects and scholarship program. They are also sponsoring the Cayce Cares food drive and asks that you donate non-perishable food items to decorate the Food Tree. The event will end with a community reception.
6:00 p.m. – The Lights of Cayce
Beginning December 4 through the end of the year, visitors can take a ride through the Cayce City Hall complex and enjoy the magic of thousands of twinkling lights, dazzling holiday displays, and music of the season.
6:00 p.m. – Cayce Neighborhood Tree Lighting
Cayce’s neighborhoods have joined together to provide a little Christmas spirit of their own. Each participating neighborhood will line their streets with lighted trees and decorations giving you a ride through a fantasy “winter wonderland.” For more information on this program, call the Cayce Historical Museum at 739-5385.
Friday, December 5 – Christmas Traditions
Cayce Historical Museum Annual Holiday Open House
6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
The sights, sounds and tastes of Christmas abound at the Museum’s 19th annual Christmas Traditions Holiday Open House. Each room of the Museum will be decorated with trees and crafts from the 18th century to present. The Open House will also feature live entertainment, docents dressed in period attire, and light refreshments. The Black Bottom Biscuits will perform in the Museum’s Visitors Center and War Between the States living history encampments will be on the grounds.
Saturday, December 6 – Living History Exhibits
4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
New this year, the Museum will be present living history exhibits on the Museum grounds and the Museum will be open for tours. A relic show will be held in the Visitors Center.
War Between the States Lantern Tours
6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
The War Between the States Lantern Tours have been moved to Saturday. As darkness falls, scenes from the great American war come to life. History and comedy make this event a memorable and popular activity. For more information, call the Cayce Historical Museum at 739-5385.
