Sewer Availability Fees
The city charges for sewer when sewer service is available adjacent to any property in use, or otherwise occupied, even if a property is not discharging wastewater to the city sewer. The fee is calculated on the in-city standard sewer rate and is based on water consumption.
Billing & Payment Information
We bill all accounts on a 60-day cycle. Bills are due and payable when rendered and are considered past due 20 days after the billing date.
We accept cash, money orders, and personal checks. We also accept Visa/MasterCard and Discover Card payments at the inside counter or when paying on-line. Returned checks subject the account holder to immediate disconnection. To restore service, the full amount of the check plus a $30.00 return check charge and a reconnection fee (see below) must be paid.
Payments may be made as follows:
- Mailed to Cayce City Hall
- Paid in person at City Hall during business hours
- Placed in the night drop box at City Hall after business hours
- Paid in person at CVS Pharmacy at The Mailroom

Bills unpaid 20 days after billing will have a 10% penalty added and a disconnect notice will be sent to the account holder. Utility bills are considered delinquent 30 days after the date of the bill and the delinquent customer will be subject to disconnection if bills are not paid by the close of business on the 30th day.
If an account is disconnected, the only way to restore service is to pay the bill in full plus a reconnection fee of $40.00 for in-city customers ($45.00 after business hours) or $50.00 for out-of-city customers ($55.00 after business hours).
Disputed bills
If you receive a bill that you do not agree with, immediately call a customer service representative at 796-9020.
Extensions
The city does not provide extensions on the payment due date beyond the 30 day disconnection window except for a severe sickness requiring hospitalization or a death in the immediate family.

All customers applying for service must apply in person. Please bring a copy of your lease agreement or closing papers, valid SC Driver's License and Social Security Card. Deposit for service is as follows:
